Preventive Cardiology

Cardiovascular medicine,
built around you.

The best time to address cardiovascular disease is before it becomes a cardiovascular event. OneVita Health is built on that idea.

Traditional medical care often focuses on treating disease once it is established. OneVita Health takes a more proactive approach—bringing together a detailed understanding of your health, your cardiovascular risk factors, advanced testing when appropriate, and evidence‑based prevention.

What we do

Where the work actually happens.

Measure, then adjust

We track how you respond and change course as your numbers move. Advanced testing is ordered when—and only when—the result would change the plan.

What to expect

Meet your cardiologist

Dr. Lee Joseph, MD, MS, MPH

Lee Joseph, MD, MS, MPH, is a cardiologist, researcher, and educator working where advanced cardiovascular imaging meets preventive medicine. She trained at Cleveland Clinic, the University of Iowa, and Harvard University, and has served as a staff cardiologist, held an endowed chair for women’s health, and led a Women’s Heart Center.

Her background in advanced cardiac imaging and clinical outcomes research brings another dimension to that work: using modern cardiovascular science not simply to generate more tests, but to understand what those results mean for an individual patient—and what can be done about them.

Who this is for

Is this you?

Most people arrive for one of these reasons. Any one of them is enough to make the conversation worth having.

  • A family history of heart disease, stroke, or sudden cardiac death
  • Cholesterol, blood pressure, or blood sugar numbers you have been told to “keep an eye on”
  • An elevated coronary calcium score, or an incidental finding on a scan
  • Lipoprotein(a) or other inherited risk you want properly interpreted
  • Navigating cardiovascular risk through menopause, or after a pregnancy complication
  • Symptoms that have been investigated without a clear answer
  • A prior cardiac event, where the priority is now preventing the next one
  • A considered second opinion on your cardiovascular risk
  • Nothing wrong at all—you simply want to know where you actually stand

In patients’ words

What people say about working with Dr. Joseph.

“Dr. Joseph was one of the first doctors to tell me she believed me and make me feel like I wasn’t crazy. She was very patient with my anxiety about not being taken seriously, as I had been treated by so many providers over time.

You can absolutely feel that she sees you as a person and not a number—you can’t fake that. She’s also incredibly well accomplished and is able to explain complex things in a way that is easy to understand.”

M.Verified patient review · Healthgrades

“Dr. Joseph is the total doctor. Incredibly caring, yet so detailed in her approach to my cardiac care. I feel totally secure in having her as my cardiologist.

Her obvious intelligence does not obstruct her humble way of communicating what my medical needs are. She is totally thorough, and I never leave her office with unanswered questions. Dr. Joseph is an example for other doctors to follow.”

P.G.Verified patient review · Healthgrades

“Dr. Joseph is no longer at [previous hospital] and we are heart broken. She is amazing. Hopefully we will be able to reconnect with her.”
